Core Responsibilities
1. Engineering & Architecture
- Design and build scalable, secure, cloud-native applications using .NET and Azure
- Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
- Define and enforce architecture standards and patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven, modular monoliths)
- Ensure systems are built for:
- High availability
- Observability (logging, tracing, metrics)
- Performance and cost efficiency
2. Azure Cloud Expertise
Required Hands-On Experience With:
- Azure App Services
- Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Azure Storage (Blob, Queue, Table)
- Azure Key Vault (secrets, certificates, rotation)
- Azure App Registrations / Entra ID (authentication & authorization)
- Azure DevOps (pipelines, boards, repos)
- CI/CD using YAML pipelines
- Monitoring & diagnostics (Application Insights, Log Analytics)
Expected Capabilities:
- Design secure cloud architectures (RBAC, managed identities, network isolation)
- Optimize resource usage and cost
- Deploy infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) where applicable
3. Backend & Data Development
Expert-Level Proficiency In:
- C# / .NET (Core / 6+)
- ASP.NET Core (APIs, middleware)
Strong Experience With:
- SQL Server (performance tuning, indexing, schema design)
- MongoDB (document modeling, indexing strategies)
Build and Maintain:
- APIs
- Background services
- Event-driven workflows
4. Frontend & Real-Time Communication
Experience With:
- Blazor WebAssembly
- SignalR (real-time messaging)
- Ability to collaborate on full-stack features when needed
5. DevOps & Delivery
- Build and maintain production-grade CI/CD pipelines
Implement:
- Automated testing
- Release strategies (blue/green, canary)
Promote:
- Infrastructure automation
- Deployment reliability
- Environment consistency
6. Code Quality & PR Leadership
- Lead pull request (PR) reviews with a strong focus on:
- Maintainability
- Readability
- Performance
- Security
Establish and Enforce:
- Coding standards
- Design guidelines
- Testing expectations
- Identify and correct anti-patterns and bad practices
7. Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Act as a technical lead for 5–6 mid/junior developers
- Actively mentor engineers who may have inconsistent, less refined, or underdeveloped engineering habits
