Role Description The Senior Medical Biller Customer Service Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Taguig, focused on supporting healthcare clients with accurate and efficient billing and patient account management. Daily activities include reviewing and processing medical claims, verifying insurance coverage, resolving billing discrepancies, and following up on unpaid or denied claims. The role involves handling inbound and outbound customer inquiries, explaining statements and benefits, and providing clear, empathetic assistance to patients and payers. The representative collaborates with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with payer requirements and regulatory standards, while meeting productivity and quality targets. This position may also support mentorship of junior team members and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong medical billing and coding knowledge, including familiarity with insurance processes and healthcare reimbursement practices.
- Customer service and communication skills, with the ability to handle complex inquiries, de-escalate issues, and provide clear explanations to diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using billing systems, electronic health record (EHR) platforms, and basic office software (e.g., MS Office, email tools).
- Attention to detail and analytical skills for reviewing claims, identifying errors, and resolving discrepancies in patient accounts.
- Time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
- Experience in a healthcare BPO, revenue cycle management, or medical billing setting, preferably in a senior or lead capacity.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and other relevant regulatory and compliance requirements in healthcare operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or coursework in medical billing, coding, or healthcare administration is an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site in Taguig and to align with assigned schedules, including potential shifts or rotating hours.
