Mission Of The Function
The Senior Media Relations Specialist will support the Public Relations AVP in strengthening our corporate reputation with key middle management level media, PR-related associations, and other identified stakeholders. He/She will establish, grow and maintain relationships with select print & broadcast media personalities, and other industry influencers with interests in energy, sustainability, technology, and business. He/She will be primarily responsible for managing AP Corporate Affairs (AP CA) agencies tasked for PR, media buying, and research. He/She will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of events & activities with the objective of fostering deeper relationships with media stakeholders. He/she will perform writing, editing, seeding, tracking, monitoring and measuring of stories released to the media, and developing media relations programs and crisis communication.
Experience (No. of Years) Professional: At least 6 years of related experience
Leadership: 3-5 years experience in team management
Project: At least 6 years of experience in media relations and corporate communications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Business Management, Communication, Economics, or any 4-year related course
Ceritifcation and License: None required; ICOR Certification is a plus
