ABOUT US
New World Rubber Corporation is a trusted manufacturer of motorcycle tires and tubes, serving markets across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. We're expanding our production capabilities and need an engineer who can own the plant floor.
THE ROLE IN PLAIN TERMS
You're the go-to engineer for plant systems and layout. When we're expanding a line, you design it. You'll work directly with production and management.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Plant Systems
- Oversee pneumatic systems, cooling systems, boiler and steam lines, and compressors.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical breakdowns affecting production.
Layout & Design
- Create and update plant layouts, piping diagrams, and equipment positioning using AutoCAD (advanced level required).
- Design machine installation plans, line arrangements, and workflow layouts.
Manufacturing Improvement
- Reduce downtime, cut waste, and balance production lines.
- Conduct time studies and capacity analysis when needed.
- Lead cost-reduction and productivity improvement projects.
Engineering Leadership
- Guide and coordinate engineering technicians and maintenance personnel.
- Work across departments to align engineering solutions with operational needs.
- Lead projects from plan to completion and ensure accountability.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare technical reports, SOPs, work instructions, and equipment standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational requirements.
REQUIREMENTS — NON-NEGOTIABLE
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing plant experience — actual floor experience, not support functions.
- Strong working knowledge of: pneumatic systems, cooling systems (chillers, cooling towers), boiler and steam infrastructure.
- Advanced AutoCAD skills — piping layouts, equipment positioning, full plant layout design.
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate across departments.
- Must be able to work onsite in Carmona, Cavite, Monday to Saturday.
ADVANTAGES (not required, but will stand out)
- Experience in tire, rubber, automotive, or similar heavy manufacturing.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma tools.
- Experience with plant expansion, machine installation, or utility improvements.
