Position: Senior Mechanical Designer

Your Role:- Project Management: Plan, monitor and respect project deadlines and budgets.
- Progress reports: Prepare and present progress reports on mandates to the department director.
- Market search: Make market search and analysis on the web for competition, system, hardware, etc.
- Product Design: Design innovative solutions in SolidWorks, complying with regulatory requirements and optimizing quality and costs.
- Create new designs both in terms of mechanical (functionality) and in aesthetics.
- Prepare fabrication drawings for our workshop.
- Improve existing products
- Choice of materials: Propose appropriate material choices based on technical requirements (e.g., steel, aluminum, plastic, etc.).
- Monitoring initial production runs: Ensure the follow-up of the first productions to guarantee a product that complies with the requirements, in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation related to developed products.
- Coaching: Coach, share his/her expertise/ technical knowledge to develop the product development team.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Take productu0027s measurement.
Qualifications:- BS Mechanical Engineering or mechanical background
- Background in manufacturing process: Have hands on manufacturing experience, unit or mass production to understand feasibility of making products.
- Relevant experience in SolidWorks (3D Modeling / 2D Drawing).
- Licensed from the Professional Regulation Commission (an asset)
- Finite element analysis (FEA) (an asset)
- Autocad (an asset_
