Job Description

The Senior Manager – Project Management / Transitions is responsible for leading end-to-end transition and project management initiatives, ensuring seamless onboarding of new clients, business migrations, process improvements, and operational transformation projects. This role partners with cross-functional teams, clients, and business leaders to deliver projects on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational objectives while minimizing operational risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end transition projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and successful project closure.
  • Manage client implementations, process migrations, and business transition activities across multiple accounts.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, risk assessments, and governance frameworks.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Quality, Training, IT, HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure project readiness.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Monitor project milestones, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful delivery.
  • Establish project governance through regular status meetings, executive updates, and stakeholder communications.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance transition methodologies and project management practices.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards, contractual obligations, and quality requirements.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer, process documentation, and operational readiness before project handover.
  • Mentor and coach Project Managers and Transition Leads to build high-performing teams.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining quality, timelines, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to support strategic business initiatives and organizational transformation.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in project management, transitions, business transformation, or operations.
  • At least 3–5 years of leadership experience managing project or transition teams.
  • Proven experience handling large-scale client implementations, transitions, or business transformation projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid).
  • Experience in the BPO, shared services, healthcare, or technology industry is an advantage.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent project management certification is highly preferred.
