Senior Manager - Production

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Control:

• Oversee daily production activities to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Develop and implement efficient production schedules.
• Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, materials, and machinery.
• Monitor KPIs such as OEE, productivity, downtime, and yield.

Team Leadership & People Management:

• Lead and motivate the production team to achieve departmental goals.
• Identify training needs and provide skill development opportunities.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Quality & Compliance:

• Coordinate with the Quality Assurance/Quality Control team to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective action for production issues.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, GMP (for pharma), and ISO standards.

Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives.
• Recommend improvements in workflow, equipment, and resource allocation.

Inventory & Cost Control:

• Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to manage raw materials and reduce waste.
• Monitor and control production costs to stay within budget.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Maintain accurate production records and generate daily/weekly/monthly reports.
• Present operational updates and improvement plans to senior management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial / Production Engineering or related field.
• (Master's degree or MBA in Operations/Management is a plus.)
• 8–15 years of progressive experience in production management, preferably in [industry].
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and production planning tools (ERP/SAP).
