Key Responsibilities
Automation Strategy & Delivery
- Design and implement automation solutions for repetitive tasks such as customer query management, LMS course creation, and promotional asset generation.
- Develop scripts and tools using AI, Python and other relevant technologies to streamline workflows.
- Find opportunities for process optimisation and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor a team currently focused on manual operations, guiding them through the transition to automated processes.
- Set clear goals and KPIs for automation adoption and efficiency improvements.
- Develop a culture of innovation and adaptability within the team.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee day-to-day operations during the transformation, ensuring service continuity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the learning function, technology, customer support, marketing, and learning teams to align automation initiatives with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with data security and organisational standards in all automation projects.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Expertise
- Deep technical proficiency (e.g Python, Java) and experience building automation scripts and tools.
- Data Analytics: Ability to interpret data, build dashboards, and use tools like Power BI or Tableau
- Business Process Management (BPM): Ability to map, optimize, and redesign processes
- Fundamentals of AI/ML augmentation for intelligent automation
- Familiarity with APIs, data integration, and workflow automation platforms.
- Desirable: Understanding of LMS systems, Asana workflow tool and digital asset management processes.
Leadership & Organisational Change
- Demonstrable experience developing teams and driving organisational change.
- Ability to inspire and upskill team members during a transition to technology-driven processes.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Problem-Solving: Handling sophisticated operational challenges.
- Analytical Thinking: Identifying automation opportunities and assessing feasibility.
Desirable
- Experience in customer support operations and/or learning content management.
- Knowledge of RPA (Robotic Process Automation) tools and cloud-based automation solutions.
Success Metrics
- Reduction in manual workload by X% within 12 months.
- Increased operational efficiency and error rate reduction through automation.
