Job Responsibilities
The Senior Manager, Finance is responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, strong governance, and compliance. In addition, this role serves as a strategic finance business partner, working closely with operational and commercial teams to drive performance, profitability, and informed decision-making.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP)
- Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and closing processes
- Maintain integrity and accuracy of financial data
- Finance Business Partnering
- Partner with business units to drive financial performance
- Challenge assumptions and provide independent financial perspectives
- Translate financial results into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders
- Support strategic initiatives (e.g., expansion, product launches, cost programs)
- Develop KPIs and performance dashboards aligned with business goals
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on financial implications of business decision
- Internal Controls, Risk & Compliance
- Establish and maintain internal control framework
- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and audit requirements
- Manage internal and external audits
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Monitor and manage cash flow and liquidity
- Optimize working capital (AR, AP, inventory)
- Maintain banking and financing relationships
- Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead and develop the finance team
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align finance with business strategy
- Present financial insights to senior leadership and board
- Drive a culture of accountability and performance
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Pre-Requisites :
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA preferred)
Experience
- More than 10 years of finance experience, including leadership roles
- Proven track record in financial reporting and business partnering
- Experience working closely with non-finance stakeholders
