Your Role, Your Impact

The Senior Safety Manager is responsible for establishing OSH policies, systems and plans, overseeing and implementing safety programs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and promoting a culture of safety across all SMDC's on-going and managed project sites. This involves developing safety strategies, conducting risk assessments, and leading incident investigations. The Senior Safety Manager works closely with project management, construction teams, and regulatory agencies to minimize workplace hazards and enhance overall safety performance.

Who We're Looking For

  1. Graduate of any engineering course or its equivalent. Advance graduate or professional degree is an advantage.
  2. Subject Matter Expert on RA 11058: OSH Law and its IRR
  3. 10-year experience as DOLE-certified accredited Safety Practitioner (SO4) in a construction industry or Safety Consultant
  4. High level of exposure and experience in managing and implementing local or internally-known health, safety and environment management system
  5. Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices applicable to the construction industry
  6. With strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations.
  7. With proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence, preferably as former team leader, or under a managerial capacity.
  8. Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills
  9. Must be able to support diverse and inclusive work environment.
  10. Must possess strong planning, organizing, and controlling skills, and with effective project management and systems development knowhow and skills.
  11. Must be focused, driven, team player and can work under pressure
  12. Excellent presentation and facilitation skills; computer literate
