Job Description

Salmon Who We Are

Salmon Group Ltd (Salmon) is a leading financial technology company focused on improving financial inclusion in the Philippines. Through its Philippine subsidiaries, including the Rural Bank of Sta. Rosa (Laguna), Inc. (Bank), Salmon delivers accessible financial services to underserved and underbanked Filipinos.

The Bank is renamed to Salmon Bank (Rural Bank) Inc., with BSP approval secured and SEC processing underway. It plans to apply for a Thrift Bank license by this year. In 2024, assets grew 12x to PHP1.3 billion, driven by strong consumer lending. The Bank aims to increase assets 5x in 2025 and to increase equity from PHP682 million (as of 31 May 2025) to PHP1.2 billion by 2026.

Salmon was founded by Pavel, George, and Raffy, who held senior leadership roles at Tinkoff, one of the world's most successful and profitable digital banks. Tinkoff is widely recognized for its innovation and scale in emerging markets, offering a strong foundation of experience for Salmon's leadership team.

In under three years, Salmon has built a global team of finance and technology professionals and raised USD 184 million in equity and debt to support its operations in the Philippines. Key shareholders include the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group), ADQ/Lunate (Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth fund), Back in Black Capital, Northstar Group, Spice Expeditions, Antler Elevate, and other prominent investors from the US and the Philippines.

About the Role

As a regulated fintech in scale mode, operational excellence and strong governance are critical to sustainable growth.

We are seeking a seasoned, hands-on senior leader to strengthen and scale our Corporate Services function. This role will act as a strong operational second-in-command, providing depth, leadership, and continuity across vendor governance, facilities, and administration.

You will independently run complex operations, strengthen controls, build scalable systems, and balance speed with regulatory rigor. This is a highly visible role and a key enabler of sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Vendor Accreditation & Regulatory Governance (BSP-Focused)

  • Own the end-to-end vendor lifecycle: onboarding, contracting, performance management, renewals, and exits
  • Lead commercial negotiations, contract structuring, SLA definition, and pricing optimization
  • Design and maintain a robust Vendor Accreditation Framework aligned with BSP regulations and internal risk standards
  • Ensure proper vendor due diligence, risk classification, documentation, and periodic re-accreditation
  • Strengthen controls around data security, confidentiality, business continuity, and audit readiness
  • Ensure all critical/high-risk vendors are fully accredited and review-ready for BSP and internal audits
  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Finance on outsourcing and third-party risk matters
  • Oversee vendor performance review processes conducted by business units to ensure accountability and continuous improvement
  • Embed a culture where governance enables scale rather than slows it down

2. Facilities & Workplace Operations

  • Lead facilities management across multiple locations during rapid expansion
  • Ensure safe, secure, compliant, and employee-friendly workplaces
  • Oversee office expansions, fit-outs, relocations, and infrastructure projects
  • Implement scalable workplace standards suited for a fast-growing fintech
  • Ensure business continuity planning for physical operations

3. Administration & Corporate Services

  • Oversee front office, asset management, travel, records management, and general corporate services
  • Institutionalize SOPs, workflows, and controls to ensure scalability and audit-readiness
  • Continuously improve service delivery standards
  • Leverage technology and automation to modernize administrative operation

4. Leadership, Governance & Scale

  • Act as a trusted deputy to the functional head
  • Independently run the function end-to-end when required
  • Build, mentor, and scale internal teams and vendor-managed staff
  • Reduce single-point dependencies by strengthening leadership depth
  • Establish governance forums, dashboards, MIS, and executive reporting
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with HR, Finance, IT, Legal, Risk, and Business teams
  • Lead strategic and special projects related to corporate operations

Qualifications & Experience

  • 57 years of experience in corporate services, facilities, administration, or operations
  • Experience in fintech, BFSI, regulated institutions, or high-growth environments strongly preferred
  • Proven track record managing complex vendor ecosystems and multi-location operations
  • Hands-on experience with vendor governance, accreditation, and regulatory audits
  • Strong commercial acumen with negotiation and contract management expertise
  • Demonstrated success building and leading multi-layered teams

Key Competencies

  • Strong execution capability with sound judgment
  • High ownership mindset; calm and decisive under pressure
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity in fast-paced scale environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Process-oriented but pragmatic control-focused without bureaucracy
  • Trusted leader who can step in, stabilize, and drive results

Why Join Salmon

  • Exponential Growth: Deposits, loans, and net income more than doubled in 2025
  • Loved by Users: 4.8 app rating; 92% user recommendation rate
  • Top-Tier Team: Collaborate with experts from fintech, banking, startups, and global institutions
  • Innovation-Driven: Where finance meets technology to build bold, impactful solutions
