Job purpose
This role, based in Singapore, is responsible for leading the local Client Servicing Know-Your-Client (CS KYC) team and ensuring the timely, accurate, and high-quality delivery of client onboarding, KYC reviews, and client file maintenance for institutional and distribution clients across Asia.
The role combines team management, operational oversight, governance, and regional coordination, working closely with headquarter in Paris and other Asian entities to ensure alignment with Group standards, internal policies, control requirements, and local regulatory obligations.
The position is hierarchically attached to the local Client Servicing organization in Singapore and functionally attached to the management of the Global Client Servicing and Onboarding (CSO) Business Line.
Job description
- Team Leadership and Management: Lead, manage, and develop the Singapore-based CS KYC team, including workload allocation, prioritization, coaching, training, and day-to-day supervision. Ensure strong collaboration, accountability, and service quality across the team.
- KYC Onboarding and Due Diligence Oversight: Oversee the end-to-end onboarding of institutional and distribution clients in line with KYC/AML procedures, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. Review client profiles, identify documentation requirements, and ensure files are complete and ready for validation.
- Validation, Escalation, and Follow-up: Coordinate KYC validation with Compliance and other control functions. Manage follow-up actions, queries, remediation points, and escalations to ensure timely resolution and appropriate communication to stakeholders.
- Periodic Review and File Maintenance: Oversee the update of KYC records through periodic reviews, event-driven updates, and remediation exercises. Ensure client documentation remains accurate, complete, compliant, and properly recorded in internal systems.
- Governance and Regional Coordination: Ensure proper implementation of Group policies, KYC/AML standards, internal procedures, and control requirements across the team. Work closely with HQ Paris and other Asian entities on governance, policy alignment, process consistency, and escalation matters.
- Client Categorization and Data Oversight: Oversee client categorization, suitability, eligibility documentation, and the accurate capture of client and KYC data in internal systems. Promote strong data quality and consistency throughout the onboarding and review lifecycle.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Maintain effective communication with the Global CSO Business Line, Paris teams, and internal stakeholders including Sales, Client Servicing, Compliance, Legal, Operations, and Middle Office, as well as external parties where required.
- Functional Alignment with CSO Business Line: Ensure that local team organization, priorities, governance practices, escalation handling, and service delivery remain aligned with the direction, standards, and expectations of the CSO Business Line, while operating within the local CS reporting line in Singapore.
- Control Environment and Continuous Improvement: Ensure the team operates within a robust control framework, with appropriate documentation, audit trail, and escalation discipline. Contribute to projects and process improvements related to onboarding, regulatory change, governance, and efficiency.
Profile
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in asset management or financial services, with strong exposure to Client Servicing, KYC/AML, client onboarding, Compliance, or a related support/control function.
- Proven experience in the onboarding, review, and maintenance of institutional and/or distribution client files.
- Proven experience in a team management or senior team lead role, including supervision, coaching, workload allocation, performance follow-up, and escalation management.
- Strong understanding of KYC/AML requirements, due diligence standards, client categorization, eligibility documentation, onboarding governance requirements, and control expectations in a regulated environment.
- Good understanding of governance frameworks, policy implementation, and the importance of consistency of practices across regional teams and jurisdictions.
- Exposure to regional KYC requirements across Asian markets, particularly Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, China, and Taiwan, would be an advantage.
- Experience in working with HQ/global teams on governance, policy alignment, or regional oversight would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with KYC tools, client data systems, workflow monitoring processes, and management reporting.
- Strong coordination, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across functions and locations.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical capability, sound judgment, and control mindset.
