Job Description

Senior Manager Business Planning

Location: HSR Layout, Bengaluru

Working Days: 6 Days, In Office

Key Responsibilities:

This role focuses on comprehensive revenue planning rather than cost planning, overseeing the entire conversion journey:

Summary:

  • Mapping out the lead-to-admission pipeline, from lead generation to sales qualification, initial sales interactions, walk-ins, and finally, admissions.
  • Strategically planning lead generation efforts and allocating the marketing budget based on conversion rates and channel-lead ROI.
  • Integrating marketing and sales budgets to optimize resource and capital deployment.
  • Developing and implementing course/product strategies and go-to-market (GTM) interventions.
  • Establishing sales excellence models and performance tracking systems
  • Conducting root cause analysis (RCA) on planned vs. actual performance across channels, lead sources, and conversion rates (CVR) to identify and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensuring in-depth, detailed visibility of each stage in the funnel.

Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning & Analysis:

○ Lead the development of short-term and long-term strategic business plans that align with the company's vision and growth targets.

○ Analyze industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer data to provide strategic insights.

○ Identify risks and opportunities within the market to inform decision-making and support business objectives.

2. Financial Modeling & Forecasting:

○ Develop and manage financial models to support planning and budgeting processes. ○ Conduct regular forecasts, financial projections, and scenario analyzes to guide business decisions.

○ Provide financial insights and recommendations to enhance profitability and optimize costs.

3. Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

○ Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the success of strategic initiatives.

○ Develop dashboards and performance metrics to ensure data-driven decision-making across the organization.

○ Prepare regular updates and reports for senior management and stakeholders.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

○ Work closely with teams across departments (e.g., marketing, sales, finance, operations) to ensure alignment with strategic plans.

○ Distributed center heads & region teams

○ Facilitate collaboration and communication to support the successful execution of business initiatives.

○ Provide support to various functions on planning-related issues and best practices.

5. Resource Allocation & Budgeting:

○ Oversee the annual budget process, coordinating with department heads to allocate resources efficiently.

○ Assess funding requirements and propose budget allocations in line with strategic priorities.

○ Monitor and control budgets to ensure effective utilization of financial resources.

6. Market Research & Competitive Benchmarking:

○ Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and market opportunities.

○ Benchmark against industry best practices to enhance strategic positioning and performance.

7. Risk Management & Contingency Planning:

○ Identify potential risks that could impact the business plan and propose mitigation strategies.

○ Develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity in response to market volatility and unexpected events

Qualifications:

● Bachelor & Master degree from tier 1 college

● 2+ years of experience in revenue planning, growth planning , conversion/sales strategy business planning, financial analysis, or strategic planning roles.

● Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills, with experience in using advanced analytics tools and software.

● Proven track record in developing and executing business plans in a corporate environment.

● Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience presenting to senior leadership.

● Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.

● Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
