Role Description

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance personnel and ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of the facility and equipment. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and providing leadership and support to the maintenance team.

Supervise and lead maintenance staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.

Provide guidance and support to maintenance team members to ensure high-quality work and professional development.

Plan, coordinate, and oversee routine and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance and facility upkeep.

Conduct inspections of equipment, machinery, and facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.

Ensure timely and effective response to maintenance requests and emergencies.

Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.

Conduct regular safety training and meetings with maintenance staff.

Assist in developing and managing the maintenance budget.

Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.

Prepare and submit regular reports on maintenance performance and issues to the Maintenance Manager.

Document and report any safety incidents, equipment failures, or other significant occurrences.

Coordinate and oversee maintenance projects, including renovations and equipment installations.

Work with contractors and vendors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in maintenance operations.

Recommends solutions to issues affecting occupational health, quality and food safety for the improvement of production operations.

Qualifications

  • Strong Supervisory Skills to effectively lead and manage a maintenance team
  • Proficiency in Equipment Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and Maintenance & Repair practices
  • Experience with Troubleshooting techniques to quickly identify and solve mechanical or technical issues
  • Understanding of safety standards and regulatory compliance in maintenance operations
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities, along with leadership skills
  • Experience in managing vendors or external maintenance contracts is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field is preferred
