Job Summary

We are seeking a Parabroker / Senior Loan Processor to support our team throughout the end-to-end lending process, from loan application to settlement. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, lenders, brokers, solicitors, accountants, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient loan processing, compliance adherence, and exceptional customer service.

This role requires strong credit assessment capabilities, knowledge of lender policies, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to manage multiple loan applications simultaneously.

Key ResponsibilitiesLoan Application & Credit Assessment
  • Manage loan applications from initial assessment through to settlement.
  • Assess and analyse residential and commercial lending applications.
  • Conduct borrowing capacity assessments and serviceability calculations.
  • Perform loan analysis to determine eligibility, application strength, and suitable loan structures.
  • Structure and prepare loan submissions in accordance with lender requirements and credit policies.
  • Identify potential risks and recommend solutions to improve application outcomes.
Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients throughout the lending process.
  • Liaise with borrowers to collect information and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain regular communication with lenders, brokers, solicitors, accountants, valuers, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide timely updates and manage client expectations throughout the application lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and business partners.
Loan Processing & Administration
  • Prepare, review, and manage loan documentation.
  • Monitor application progress and proactively follow up outstanding requirements.
  • Identify and request missing information and documentation from clients.
  • Ensure applications progress efficiently through assessment, approval, and settlement stages.
  • Maintain accurate customer and loan records within CRM, broker, and aggregator systems.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • Ensure all applications meet lender, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy across data entry, documentation, and record management.
  • Stay up to date with industry regulations, lender policies, and mortgage market changes.
  • Ensure internal processes and documentation standards are consistently followed.
Collaboration & Business Support
  • Support brokers with deal structuring and lender policy guidance.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and offshore processing support teams.
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance loan processing efficiency and customer experience.
  • Assist in maintaining high service standards and operational effectiveness.
Required Qualifications & ExperienceEssential
  • Fluent in English (Advanced level in Speaking, Reading, Writing, Listening)
  • Previous experience as a Parabroker, Loan Processor, Lending Support Officer, Credit Analyst, Mortgage Credit Assessor, or similar mortgage industry role.
  • Strong understanding of Australian mortgage lending processes and lender policies.
  • Experience assessing and processing residential mortgage applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage loan files from application through settlement.
  • Experience working directly with clients and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple applications, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred
  • Experience within a mortgage broking firm.
  • Commercial lending and commercial credit assessment experience.
  • Experience assessing self-employed clients and complex income structures.
  • Knowledge of serviceability calculators, borrowing capacity assessments, and loan structuring.
  • Experience using CRM, broker, and aggregator platforms (e.g., Connective, Nexus, Infinity, HubSpot).
  • Experience working with offshore processing teams.
