Job Description
- Serve as a key legal business partner supporting strategic infrastructure and technology initiatives across the region.
- Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice to senior stakeholders on business-critical projects and investments.
- Lead the drafting, review and negotiation of a broad range of commercial agreements, infrastructure contracts and strategic partnerships.
- Support major transactions including project development, financing arrangements, capital raising activities, joint ventures and M&A opportunities.
- Advise on legal and commercial risks associated with new markets, emerging technologies and innovative business models.
- Collaborate closely with business, finance, corporate development and operational teams to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Develop risk management frameworks and governance processes that balance commercial objectives with legal and regulatory requirements.
A Successful Senior Legal Counsel Should Have
- A professional legal qualification, such as LLB or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience gained in private practice and/or in-house environments.
- Strong background in corporate transactions, project development, infrastructure, finance and/or M&A matters.
- Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
- Ability to provide pragmatic, solutions-oriented legal advice within a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with a genuine interest in technology, digital infrastructure and emerging AI-related developments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Collaborative approach and proven ability to work across cross-functional teams.
