Senior Legal Counsel - Global Technology Company

We're supporting a global tech company in the search for a to join its growing legal team in Malaysia.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys working closely with the business and senior stakeholders, with exposure to a broad range of commercial, corporate, employment and regulatory matters in a fast-paced environment.

:

• 6–10+ years PQE, gained from a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal environment.

• Admission to the Malaysian Bar and strong grounding in Malaysian law.

• Strong experience advising on commercial contracts, corporate matters and general legal issues

• Experience handling employment and industrial relations matters, regulatory issues, disputes and internal investigations.

• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with experience handling complex and high-value commercial agreements.

• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.

• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to advise and challenge senior business leaders.

• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic and commercially driven organisation.

You'll work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams, providing practical and strategic legal advice across a broad range of matters. The role will also involve developing legal frameworks, policies, playbooks and processes to support the business as it continues to grow.

The successful candidate will be highly autonomous, commercially astute and comfortable operating in an environment where priorities can move quickly and lawyers are expected to be hands-on and solutions-oriented.
