Senior Java Software Engineer

CORE PROFILE

Mid Level Java Engineer who has background and experience in cloud native applications and building, deploying, and maintaining APIs built on Spring Boot.

NATURE OF WORK

• Develop services and jobs in Java using Spring Boot.
• Migrate legacy APIs to Java Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Team and Platform Team for requirements on services to be uilt.

• Java 17 or higher
• Spring Boot 3 or higher
• REST APIs
• Batch Jobs
• CICD Pipelines
• AWS – good to have
• Containerization – good to have

EXPECTED RESULTS

• Be able to create new APIs based on technical design specifications.
• Be able to maintain existing APIs for bugs or new features.
• Be able to create unit tests to make sure all deliverables are properly tested.
• Be able to work with quality engineers to make sure that all deliverables are passing quality tests.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a closely related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Java development or other similar language.
• Understanding of cloud computing concepts, including microservices architecture, containerization, and serverless computing.
• Experience with cloud-native application development using tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
