Senior Java Developer

Job Description

We are looking for aSenior Java Engineerto join our Corporate IT team and contribute to the development and evolution of cloud-based enterprise applications onMicrosoft Azure.

In this role, you will work hands-on across the full software development lifecycle, collaborating closely with architects, senior engineers, and international teams. You will help design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-quality backend solutions that support critical corporate processes across SGS globally.

This is asenior individual contributor rolewith strong technical ownership and close collaboration with architecture and platform teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services usingJava and theSpring ecosystem(Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Security).
• Build and consumeRESTful APIs, applyingOAuth 2.0and security best practices.
• Contribute tomicroservices-based architecturesdeployed onAzure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Participate inevent-driven systemsusingAzure Event Hubs and/or Kafka.
• Collaborate with frontend developers on applications built withAngular (19+).
• Work with relational databases includingAzure SQL (SQL Server), PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
• Actively participate incode reviews, CI/CD pipelines, andDevSecOps practices.
• Support production environments, incident resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to technical discussions, solution design, andtechnical debt reductionactivities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experiencein Java backend development.
• Strong experience withmodern Java, Spring Boot, and REST-based architectures.
• Solid understanding ofcloud-native conceptsand distributed systems.
• Experience working across the fullSDLCin Agile environments.
• Comfortable collaborating ininternational, multicultural teams.
• Fluent inEnglish(written and spoken).
