Senior Java API Developer

MUST-HAVE

5+ years of backend development experience

Strong expertise in Java (8/11/17+)

Solid experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security

Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs

Experience with microservices architecture

Strong SQL knowledge (MySQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle) + ORM (Hibernate/JPA)

Experience with API security (OAuth2, JWT)

Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle

Experience working with Docker and CI/CD pipelines

Strong understanding of data structures, concurrency, and multithreading

Soft Skills (Required):

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives

NICE-TO-HAVE (Good but not mandatory)

Kafka or RabbitMQ

Cloud experience (AWS / Azure / GCP)

Kubernetes

API documentation tools (Swagger / OpenAPI)

Fintech / high-transaction systems experience

Strong communication & stakeholder management

Proactive ownership mindset

Prioritizing:

• Strong hands-on backend/API engineers (not just leads/architects)
• Experienced in building scalable, production-grade APIs
• Comfortable working in microservices + integration-heavy environments
