Job Purpose:
The IT Quality Assurance Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and reliability of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) data, while driving continuous improvement across IT Assets and operational processes. This role helps support Microchip Technology Inc.s compliance with industry standards by applying quality assurance methodologies and to maintain trustworthy data. The IT Quality Assurance Engineer reports to the IT Asset Manager in the Philippines and collaborates with global teams.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain CMDB accuracy through audits, reconciliations, and validation of configuration items.
- Implement data quality controls and monitor CMDB health via dashboards and reports.
- Streamline and automate ITAM workflows using ServiceNow to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
- Document and enhance IT processes aligned with ITIL and IAITAM standards.
- Conduct QA audits to ensure compliance with asset lifecycle, licensing, and security policies.
- Lead UAT for system enhancements and validate alignment with business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvement, regulatory compliance and mentor Junior staff to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent IT experience
- 5-6+ years in IT QA, CMDB management, or process improvement
- Proficient in ServiceNow, Ivanti, and data analytics tools
- Strong documentation, Excellent verbal and written communication (English)
- IAITAM and ITIL v4 certifications is an advantage
- Detail-oriented with a focus on data integrity and operational efficiency
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
