ABOUT THE ROLE

The IT Asset and Procurement Analyst is responsible for managing the lifecycle of IT assets and ensuring the efficient procurement of goods and services. This role involves tracking and managing IT assets, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. The analyst will work closely with various departments to support their IT asset needs and optimize procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • IT Asset Management:
  • Plan and manage the full lifecycle of all IT assets to maximize value, control costs, manage risks, support decision-making, and meet regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including acquisition, deployment, cost tracking, stocktake, decommission, and disposal.
  • Ensure optimal use of existing assets and manage asset-related documentation, such as licenses, maintenance, warranties, and support contracts.
  • Conduct regular asset audits and ensure compliance with asset management policies.
  • Procurement:
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
  • Evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality of products.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand their procurement needs and provide support throughout the procurement process.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Reporting and Compliance:
  • Prepare and present procurement and asset management reports to management.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in procurement and asset management.

Essential Skills and Expertise

  • At least 7 years of experience in IT asset management and procurement.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using asset management and procurement software.
  • Experience with software asset management tools and systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to develop and improve processes.
  • Ability to manage a team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices in IT asset management.
  • Experience working in a global company or Australian business is a plus.
