About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Analyst (Data Protection) to support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of enterprise data protection initiatives. Key areas of focus include Information Classification, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policies, and security compliance.
In this role, you will be critical in ensuring that data protection initiatives are effectively planned, executed, and continuously enhanced in alignment with organizational goals. You will lead stakeholder engagement, gather business requirements, support the deployment of Microsoft security technologies (such as Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Intune), and coordinate end-to-end project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning & Project Coordination: Develop roadmaps, estimate effort, plan sprints, and track milestones for data protection initiatives. Identify project dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Business Analysis: Conduct workshops and interviews with subject matter experts (SMEs) and business focal points to translate business needs into technical and functional data protection requirements.
- Execution & Support: Coordinate end-to-end delivery of data protection projects. Support configuration, testing, validation, and continuous improvement of controls using Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Intune, and related tools.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Lead UAT activities, track defects, gather user feedback, and lead root cause analysis to refine DLP and information protection controls.
- Reporting & Analytics: Maintain and update DLP dashboards, metrics, and project status reports. Prepare communications for periodic leadership updates.
- Change Management & Awareness: Develop user guides, FAQs, training materials, and support data protection awareness campaigns across the organization.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional Experience:
- Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant professional IT experience.
- At least three (3) years focused on implementing and supporting data protection, information security, compliance, or related initiatives.
Technical Skills & Tools
- Strong understanding of governance, cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity or experience with Microsoft security technologies, particularly Microsoft Purview (Information Protection/DLP) and Microsoft Intune (BYOD/MDM).
- Solid grasp of project delivery methodologies, SDLC, and Agile practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
Nice-to-Have (Certifications)
- Relevant certifications in information security, data protection, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Intune, project management (PMP), or Agile methodologies are desirable but not mandatory.
