Job Description

Role:

The Senior Engineer (iOS) is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-quality mobile software, mainly for the iOS app of the Real Time Agent (RTA) platform. The role focuses on creating scalable, reliable solutions while helping guide the engineering team and improving development practices. There may also be opportunities to work full-stack.

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering & Technical Work

  • Design and develop scalable, high-quality iOS applications.
  • Write, review, and architect code using modern engineering practices.
  • Stay updated with new technologies and apply them appropriately.
  • Help reduce technical debt and improve system health.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Mentor junior engineers and support their development.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers.
  • Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of services (build and operate mindset).

Operations

  • Participate in on-call rotations and handle incidents.
  • Maintain and update systems and improve reliability.

Required Skills

  • Strong iOS development experience using Swift
  • Knowledge of mobile development best practices

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Swift Package Manager
  • REST APIs or GraphQL
  • AWS / DevOps tools
  • Firebase
  • RealmSwift

Experience:

  • Designing scalable software systems
  • Working in Agile teams
  • Using CI/CD and DevOps practices
  • Collaborating across product, design, and engineering teams

Education:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

Bonus Experience

  • Offline-first mobile apps
  • High-traffic, complex mobile applications
