About the Role

As Senior Information Security Engineer, you are responsible for protecting Innodata's information assets through proactive monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, security hardening, and implementation of cybersecurity controls.

This role is primarily focused on hands-on security operations and engineering activities within a BPO and client-facing environment. The successful candidate will possess strong technical expertise in threat detection, endpoint security, SIEM operations, incident investigation, vulnerability remediation, and enterprise security technologies.

In this role, you will split your focus between driving robust technical security operations (70%) and supporting vital compliance, audit, and client-facing security governance (30%).

  • Lead vulnerability assessments (Nessus, Qualys), coordinate patch management, and implement robust system hardening baselines.
  • Deploy, optimize, and tune detection rules, DLP platforms, email security, and automation opportunities.
  • Manage enterprise IAM controls (Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, MFA, PAM) aligning with Zero Trust principles.
  • Support internal/external audits and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, GDPR).
  • Maintain technical runbooks, Incident Response plans, and drive phishing simulation and awareness campaigns.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for client security assessments and questionnaires.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in SecOps, Cyber Engineering, or Security Infrastructure

Strongly Preferred

  • 12+ years of experience within Enterprise, BPO, Shared Services, or Multinational environments
  • SIEM/EDR: Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender Suite
  • IAM: Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), MFA, SSO, RBAC, PAM
  • Vulnerability Tools: Nessus, Qualys, Tenable
  • Frameworks: NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001

Preferred Certifications (not required)

  • CISSP, CISM, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer
  • Microsoft Security Suite (SC-200, SC-300, SC-100, AZ-500)
  • CompTIA Security+ / CEH
