Reports to: The President for Philippines Operations
You sit at the heart of GoTeam's people strategy — ensuring every employee experience, policy, and process reflects who we are. This role combines strategic HR leadership with hands-on execution, making it ideal for someone who can shape culture, champion compliance, and use data to drive decisions. This is not a traditional HR generalist role. You will be trusted to build scalable systems, resolve complex people matters, and partner with leadership to reduce attrition, develop talent, and sustain a Great Place to Work® culture.
YOU'RE LIKELY A STRONG FIT IF YOU HAVE
- Educational Foundation: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or Business Administration (Master's degree or MBA preferred).
- Deep HR Experience: At least 5 years of experience as an HR Manager, with a total of 6–8 years of progressive HR experience — ideally in a BPO, tech-enabled, or outsourcing environment.
- Legal Know-How: Solid knowledge of Philippine Labor Law (DOLE regulations, Labor Code) and exposure to international employment standards.
- Full-Lifecycle Expertise: Proven track record managing employee relations, performance management, compliance, and benefits end-to-end.
- Tech Proficiency: Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Sprout HR, BambooHR, Workday, or SAP SuccessFactors) and HR analytics tools.
- People-First Mindset: Demonstrated ability to build trust across levels, mediate conflict, and handle sensitive matters with discretion and empathy.
STRONG SIGNALS
- Data-Driven: Advanced Excel, Power BI, or Tableau experience for building HR dashboards and workforce reports.
- Future-Ready: AI or HR tech certifications — including self-directed learning via Coursera, LinkedIn Learning, or similar platforms.
- Process Mastery: Lean / Six Sigma certification or experience building scalable HR systems from scratch.
- Certified HR Professional: SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP, PHRi, or CHRP (or equivalent local HR certification).
- Retention Impact: Demonstrated success in reducing attrition and improving employee engagement scores through structured programs.
RESPONSIBILITY PILLARS
Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution You protect GoTeam's culture by ensuring fair, consistent, and people-centered HR practices.
- Policy Governance: Review, implement, and monitor compliance with all company policies, ensuring alignment with organizational values.
- Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations into employee concerns — interviewing parties, reviewing documents, and consulting stakeholders.
- Conflict Mediation: Facilitate structured resolution sessions between employees or between employees and management.
- Discipline Management: Manage the full disciplinary process, including the issuance of notices, warnings, suspensions, and terminations.
- Exit Intelligence: Conduct exit interviews and translate insights into actionable retention recommendations.
Performance Management: You ensure every employee has clear expectations and meaningful feedback.
- Review Oversight: Ensure timely completion of quarterly performance reviews by all department heads and coaches.
- Escalation Handling: Address employee appeals on evaluations or inconsistent feedback with fairness and documentation.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify trends in performance data and drive upgrades to GoTeam's performance management framework.
Compliance & Legal Affairs You keep GoTeam legally sound and ahead of regulatory change.
- Labor Law Compliance: Monitor adherence to Philippine labor laws, DOLE regulations, and applicable international employment standards.
- Audits: Conduct regular audits of workplace practices, employment records, and HR documentation.
- Legal Case Management: Handle employment-related legal matters, including harassment, discrimination, and labor dispute cases.
- Policy Consistency: Ensure uniform application of HR policies across all departments and locations.
Benefits Administration: You manage a competitive benefits program that attracts and retains top talent.
- Provider Management: Maintain relationships with HMO providers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators.
- Benchmarking: Conduct annual reviews to ensure GoTeam's benefits package remains market-competitive.
- Process Efficiency: Streamline enrollment and administration workflows for accessibility and speed.
HR Metrics & Analytics You translate people data into leadership decisions.
- Dashboard Reporting: Track and analyze HR metrics — headcount, attrition, time-to-hire, engagement — and deliver timely reports to leadership.
- Workforce Insights: Identify trends and recommend targeted HR interventions based on data.
Policy, Documentation & HR Process Governance You build the systems that keep GoTeam's HR engine running smoothly.
- Policy Development: Create and maintain HR policies, SOPs, and process frameworks aligned with legal requirements and GoTeam's values.
- Continuous Review: Regularly update documentation to ensure policies remain clear, relevant, and enforceable.
Team Leadership & Development You build a high-performing HR team aligned with GoTeam's mission.
- Goal Setting: Set clear expectations, priorities, and performance standards for the HR team.
- Culture Building: Foster a collaborative, psychologically safe team environment rooted in continuous learning.
- Mentorship: Coach and develop junior HR team members in their professional growth.
Attrition Reduction & Retention Strategy: You make GoTeam a place people choose to stay.
- Turnover Analysis: Conduct regular reviews of attrition data, exit interviews, and engagement surveys to identify root causes.
- Retention Programs: Design and implement programs covering career development, recognition, and employee engagement.
- Escalation Resolution: Lead cross-functional investigation and resolution of escalated employee complaints, documenting all outcomes.
