Job Purpose

This role is responsible to lead the Human Resources department and provide Human Resource services, policies and programs for Dolefil, MKADC and WDC (collectively, the company or the organization). The Senior HR Manager will also serve as the strategic HR business partner for the Dolefil Managing Director and the Dolefil leadership team. This role will also ensure that the HR team is focused on supporting the business strategy of the Dolefil Managing Director and the Dolefil leadership team.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Lead the design and execution of HR strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Assess HR strengths and areas for improvement to develop targeted strategies for efficiency.
  • Ensure all HR initiatives and strategic plans are integrated with the company's overarching objectives.
  • Provide direction and oversight to define and drive the HR department's strategic vision.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to craft and align HR strategy with business objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leadership to influence and drive change in each department.
  • Partner with Corporate and Group Human Resources on global initiatives and implement them in the company.
  • Represent the organization in external forums and foster partnerships that enhance the employer brand.

Organizational Development

  • Lead and direct the Human Resource team to deliver comprehensive expertise and support to the business by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating Human Resources and Labour Relations strategies including policies, programs, and procedures to address the organization's requirements.
  • Lead and drive strategic organizational development initiatives to optimize efficiency, effectiveness, and overall organizational health.
  • Champion workforce planning and organizational design to align with the company's strategic goals and evolving business needs.
  • Formulate and recommend Human Resources policies and objectives for the company with regard to employee relations and labour/industrial relations to uphold a harmonious and high performing culture, including negotiating collective agreements, mediating labour disputes and grievances and providing advice on employee and labour relations.
  • Ensure alignment of position structures and workforce numbers with budgetary frameworks and budgetary frameworks and organizational priorities.
  • Oversee comprehensive job analysis and role reviews to maintain alignment with the organization's operational and strategic requirements.
  • Design and implement robust change management strategies to enable seamless transitions and minimize disruption during periods of transformation.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement to support organizational growth and sustainability.
  • Promote adaptability and resilience across the workforce, empowering the organization to navigate and thrive through change.
  • Manage with other Dole stakeholders any and all outsourced labour contracts.

Succession Management

  • Design and implement a robust succession planning framework to identify, develop, and ensure a pipeline of future leaders.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership in developing and executing programs for leadership roles

Talent Management

  • Oversee the recruitment and selection of employees, ensuring adherence to manpower budget requirements and organizational goals.
  • Lead retention strategies by identifying and addressing factors contributing to employee turnover.
  • Drive initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace culture and enhance employee engagement.
  • Develop and implement upskilling programs to address competency gaps and support employee career growth.
  • Establish and manage a robust performance management system, including regular evaluations, to ensure accountability and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Works closely with management to advise, counsel, and provide coaching and resolution to address employees performance. Provides performance management guidance to senior leaders (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

Compensation and Benefits Management

  • Strategize and develop compensation programs to establish a comprehensive total rewards system that supports organizational goals.
  • Oversee the implementation of salary structures and benefits administration, ensuring compliance with labor laws and standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate compensation and benefits programs to ensure alignment with industry trends and organizational requirements.

Other

  • Comes up with the budget of the Human Resources Department and ensures all spending is within these limits.
  • Ensures the implementation of the company's Shared Value and CSR initiatives, including participating with the Mahintana Foundation as required.
  • Provides technical support in general management and human resource management to affiliates.
  • Responsible for the management of the Kalsangi Clubhouse and the Dolefil School.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 10-15 years in HR roles, with at least 5-10 years in leadership or executive positions (such as HR Director, Senior HR Manager, or VP of HR).
  • Proven experience in leading and aligning HR strategies with organizational goals, particularly in driving growth, culture change, and organizational transformation.
  • Proven experience working in an environment with CBA's.

REQUIRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A graduate of Social Sciences and other related field preferably with emphasis or concentration in Human Resources Management
  • Demonstrated knowledge in Labor Law
  • Working experience to all facets of HR specifically Recruitment, Compensation, Benefits, Industrial Relations and Employee Engagement
  • Strong business acumen
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills that will enable to work with people at all levels
  • Excellent in analytical, decision-making and leadership skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be willing to travel in different areas of operation
