About the Role
At Spiderhook, HR is an operational science, not a back-office administration routine. As our Senior HR Generalist for Marine Operations, you are the vital bridge between human connection and rigorous compliance for our internal operational teams. You will serve as the primary brand ambassador, internal advocate, and grounded solution-finder for the staff driving our business unit. If you bring the entrepreneurial grit to turn complex labor standards into smooth employee experiences, leverage modern AI tools to speed up HR delivery, and tackle workplace challenges head-on to keep operations running cleanly, this is your platform.
What You Will Actually Do

- Prepare and submit required HR reports and compliance documents to DOLE while keeping data handling secure during internal audits.
- Elevate the First Touchpoint: Act as a brand ambassador by leading inspiring new hire orientations, preparing employment contracts, and directly owning full-cycle recruitment (sourcing through offer) for urgent internal hiring needs.
- Lead engaging employee orientations, onboarding workflows, and internal training programs.
- Prepare employment contracts, offer letters, and manage pre-employment clearances and onboarding documentation.
- Turn Data into Wisdom: Maintain accurate 201 files and HRIS databases, transforming routine tracking of attendance, leave, payroll documentation, and personnel movements into practical, actionable organizational insights.
- Maintain accurate, confidential 201 files and HR database records for all internal staff.
- Process attendance, leave, payroll documentation, and personnel movements, analyzing workforce metrics to guide leadership decisions.
- Resolve Employee Relations with Grit: Serve as a grounded solution-finder, directly resolving internal employee relations concerns within established SLA tiers (5–7 days for non-disciplinary, 15–18 days for disciplinary, and 30 days for harassment/discrimination).
- Address internal employee inquiries directly and resolve ER cases within the HR Operations team's established SLA tiers.
- Facilitate formal disciplinary actions, grievance handling, exit interviews, and clearances, escalating high-risk cases to the HR Operations Supervisor.
- Maintain Operational Agility: Seamlessly coordinate standard recruitment and HMO administration with centralized partner functions, while stepping up to run full-cycle recruitment, benefits, and performance management processes directly whenever departmental demands require it.
- Route standard hiring and HMO tasks to centralized teams, executing full-cycle recruitment and benefits administration directly when deadlines are tight.
- Administer performance evaluations, leave programs, recognition initiatives, HR certifications, and commendation letters directly when required.
The Profile We Are Looking For
- Solution-Finder & Entrepreneurial Grit: Deep resilience, high adaptability, and a find a way mindset when navigating workplace dynamics and operational challenges.
- AI Knowledgeable & Tech-Savvy: Practical experience leveraging generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, AI drafting assistants) to streamline HR workflows, paired with strong proficiency in Google Workspace, Canva (for crafting onboarding assets and internal communications), and HRIS platforms.
- Human Connection & Empathy: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trust, support internal team members, and deliver an outstanding employee experience.
- Ownership & Logic: Strong personal accountability, structured reasoning, and a passion for turning everyday administrative tasks into clear operational value.
- Continuous Learning: High curiosity and willingness to experiment with modern workflows, new technologies, and continuous process improvement.
