Job Description

We Are Looking For

  • An experienced Senior Graphic Designer who excels in creating structured design solutions with a focus on consistent multilingual layout. The ideal candidate thrives in using technology and in-depth InDesign functions to produce outstanding output and possesses a perfectionist mindset, ensuring precision in technical documentation.
  • Join our team and lead automated structured design projects, whether it's via our proprietary Content Management System, scripted typesetting workflows, or InDesign Server.

Responsibilities

  • Design technical documentation of products: technical drawings, user manuals, multilingual product labels.
  • Maintain consistency of typesetting over many projects.
  • Develop InDesign templates adhering to client brand guidelines.
  • Create artworks based on ambiguous briefings and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Develop automated solutions for design production in the Adobe environment.
  • Utilize and write scripts in InDesign to streamline processes.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of InDesign functions to enhance production efficiency.
  • Work in translation workflows, including correct source file preparation and post-translation typesetting.
  • Create line drawings and technical illustrations, either from scratch or by amending existing assets.
  • Assist team leader in handling other ad-hoc tasks and duties as assigned.
  • Text layout and multilingual typesetting, Desktop Publishing based on clients briefing & guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of typesetting experience, preferably in technical documentation or financial printing industry.
  • Higher Diploma or above in Graphic/ Packaging/ Art Design or related disciplines.
  • In-depth proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign (including scripting and advanced functions).
  • Knowledge in InDesign Scripting, JavaScript, GREP, and XML Workflow (optional but advantageous).
  • Strong command of English and excellent communication skills.
  • Highly creative, initiative-driven, organized, and capable of managing diverse projects on a tight schedule.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and a strong team player.
  • Eager to learn and adapt to challenging design problems.
