Job Description:

The Senior General Ledger Accountant is responsible for overseeing the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the company's general ledger and financial close processes. This role leads the GL team, ensures compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, and partners with cross-functional teams to support accurate financial reporting and business decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploys all accounting strategies, processes, policies, systems & metrics that contribute to the overall success of the team
  • Manages, direct and review the work of accounting supervisors and staff, and to also ensure the accuracy of transactions and timeliness of reports
  • Maintains report dashboards to track team activities
  • Coordinates and perform the monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities
  • Coaches, evaluates and recognizes his/her direct reporting staff's appraisal based on agreed KPIs to ensure high performance as well as determine developmental needs

Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of accounting policies and procedures prescribed by the Group and local accounting institutions
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or any related field. CPA is preferred but not required
  • At least 3 to 5 years experience in Finance and Accounting
  • Experience in Retail or related industry is an advantage
  • Knowledgeable in SAP
  • Must be willing to work onsite in PASAY
