Your Role
As a Senior General Ledger Accountant, you will:
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure strict timelines and IFRS compliance are met.
- Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and perform comprehensive balance sheet and income statement flux analyses.
- Execute complex balance sheet reconciliations, reconcile intercompany transactions, and review work prepared by other accountants.
- Maintain internal controls, prepare robust audit schedules, and support technical accounting research.
- Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Tax, and Operations to drive accounting automation and process improvements during the close.
What You Need
- Non-negotiables
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4 to 7 years of general accounting experience, preferably in a multi-regional and multi-currency organization.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS or GAAP as it relates to general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
- Experience working in a large ERP environment (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Proven ability to meet tight monthly accounting close schedules and execute complex balance sheet reconciliations.
Preferred Skills/expertise
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent credential.
- Experience working within a Shared Services Center (SSC) environment handling global operations.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex functions).
- Fluency in the Spanish language (spoken and written).
- Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset focused on process automation, efficiency, and strengthening controls.
