We're looking for a Senior Fund Accountant to join our growing Fund Accounting team. In this role, you'll manage complex private equity accounting activities, support fund operations from investment through distribution, and play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting to investment managers and investors.

What You'll Own
Private Equity Fund Accounting
- Prepare and review end-to-end Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations for Private Equity funds.
- Perform detailed cash, position, and Trial Balance reconciliations with fund administrators, custodians, prime brokers, and banking partners.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks to ensure complete and accurate financial reporting.
- Calculate and maintain partner allocations for income, expenses, gains, and losses.
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual Partner Statements, ensuring accurate tracking of paid-in capital, capital commitments, and unfunded commitments.
Private Equity Fund Operations
Support the full Private Equity fund lifecycle, including:
- Processing capital calls and investor drawdowns.
- Managing investor distributions.
- Applying waterfall calculations and distribution methodologies.
- Calculating preferred returns and carried interest allocations.
- Supporting pre-closing and post-closing investment transactions.
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
- Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Prepare and review financial statements, supporting schedules, and trial balances.
- Ensure all reporting deliverables are accurate, timely, and audit-ready.
- Partner with Fund Controllers and internal stakeholders to investigate accounting variances and resolve reporting issues.
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Review accounting workflows, reporting processes, and system activities to identify inefficiencies and operational risks.
- Partner with the Fund Accounting Lead and team members to improve workflows and streamline recurring accounting processes.
- Support automation initiatives, enhance reporting templates, and help develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that improve efficiency and data quality.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen accounting operations and client service delivery.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in Fund Accounting or Fund Administration, with a strong focus on Private Equity or Closed-End Funds.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Net Asset Value (NAV)
- Capital Calls
- Investor Distributions
- Waterfall Calculations
- Carried Interest
- Bank and Cash Reconciliations
- Trial Balance Reconciliations
- Strong understanding of the Private Equity fund lifecycle and investor capital accounting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, complex formulas, and large financial workbooks.
- Experience using fund accounting platforms such as Advent Geneva or similar investment accounting systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain accounting results and financial variances to Fund Controllers and internal stakeholders.
