Our client is a fast-growing, AI-driven financial technology company that has built a next-generation ERP and fund administration platform specifically for private markets. In under a year, they have scaled to over USD 7B in assets under administration and support top-tier global investment firms, banks, and endowments.
They are now expanding into the Philippines and establishing their first international fund accounting hub. This is a rare opportunity to join at the ground level and help build a world-class offshore operation from scratch.
About the Role
As the Senior Fund Accounting Lead, you will be one of the first key hires in the Philippines. You will work closely with U.S.-based strategy, operations, and fund accounting teams to:
- Become an expert in our data migration and system onboarding process
- Build, lead, and develop a team of 67 fund accountants
- Establish the foundation of our offshore operations
This role is fully onsite as we establish our presence in the Philippines. During the early build stage, in-person work is essential for collaboration, training, and building team dynamics. As processes mature and the team becomes fully operational, the setup will gradually shift to a more flexible hybrid arrangement.

What You'll Do
- Build and lead a high-performing offshore fund accounting team (initially 67, with plans to scale).
- Oversee data migration from clients previous fund admin systems into company's platform.
- Process, normalize, and validate historical financial data to ensure system readiness.
- Partner closely with US operations, fund accounting, and engineering teams to refine workflows.
- Implement quality control frameworks to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Train, mentor, and support the development of team members on tech, workflows, and fund admin best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to drive scalability.
- Lay the groundwork for company's first Philippine office, shaping culture, structure, and operational excellence.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of fund accounting experience in fund administration, ideally with VC or PE exposure.
- Strong technical aptitudecomfortable working with spreadsheets, general ledgers, and data systems.
- Proven ability to build, lead, and develop teams.
- Highly detail-oriented and process-driven; passionate about data integrity.
- Excellent collaborator with the ability to bridge accounting and engineering teams.
- Strong cross-cultural communication skills; thrives working with distributed teams.
- Independent, resourceful problem-solver with sound judgment.
- Entrepreneurial mindset; excited by the opportunity to build something from the ground up.
Bonus Points
- Experience leading offshore or remote accounting teams.
- Familiarity with VC/PE structures (capital calls, distributions, waterfalls, etc.).
- Background in data migration or systems implementation.
- Experience with platforms like eFront, Allvue, Investran, or similar.
