The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our team in a hybrid working arrangement, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment, enjoys ownership across the full development lifecycle, and is excited by the opportunity to shape both product and technical direction.
You will work across product delivery, architecture, scalability, and AI-enabled features, while also contributing to engineering best practices and mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Delivery
- Write clean, maintainable code aligned with a continuous delivery environment
- Own core platform services, ensuring security, reliability, and performance
- Design and build scalable technical foundations to support business growth
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities into existing systems and workflows
- Collaborate on product and technical roadmaps, balancing technical and business priorities
- Focus on delivering high-impact features aligned with user and business value
Scalability & Improvement
- Improve engineering standards, tools, and processes across the platform
- Ensure infrastructure is secure, reliable, and scalable
- Embed DevOps principles across development workflows
- Optimise AI/ML deployment and monitoring processes
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve architecture and system performance
- Support the implementation of MLOps practices for continuous AI delivery
Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into technical solutions
- Mentor and support junior engineers in best practices and architecture patterns
- Contribute to a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement
- Promote agile principles including iterative delivery and effective workload management
Ideal Candidate Profile
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with Node.js (primary backend language), or similar (C#, Java, Go)
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Next.js or Remix
- Proven experience building and maintaining scalable APIs and integrating third-party services
- Strong experience with AWS services (e.g. Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudFront, SNS, SQS)
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Strong testing discipline including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Experience with test-driven development (TDD)
- Ability to independently take features from concept to production
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
- Understanding of AI model deployment and productionisation
- Experience integrating AI-powered features into applications
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Experience in a senior or lead engineering role with mentoring responsibilities
- Strong focus on clean, maintainable, and scalable code
- Strong understanding of software design principles
- Experience working in agile environments with iterative delivery practices
Home Office Requirements:
- Internet Connection : Minimum of 50mbps internet connection and MUST have a Backup connection with the same speed
- Computer/Laptop: The contractor must have a good working computer with Dual Monitors
- Headsets : The Contractor must have noise canceling headsets preferably Plantronics Blackwire C320M headsets. Assessment will be done during test calls.
- Dedicated Home Office - Contractors are required to have a dedicated home office free from noise and distractions.
