Senior Full Stack Engineer (Java, Apache Camel)

About Business line/Function:

Banking IT primarily serves Corporate Clients. The division encompasses key areas such as Payments and Cash Management, Trade Finance, Corporate Deposits, and Lending. With a team of approximately 1200 employees based at BNP Paribas India Solutions, we cover a wide range of functions, including Development, Business Analysis, Testing, and Production Support. Our services cater to the Asia, Europe, and America regions.

Position Purpose

The person will be part of GIS team located in India (Mumbai, Chenai) and will serve as an extension of the core team working on critical project involving JAVA, apache camel, Springboot and angular development

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

Front-End Development:

• Hands-on expertise in Angular JS and delivering complete front-end applications.
• Writing tested, idiomatic, and well-documented JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Coordinating workflow between graphic designers, HTML coders, and back-end developers.
• Cooperating with back-end developers to build RESTful APIs.
• Communicating with external web services using apigee

Back-End Development:

• Cloud-native: containers, deployment, and operation
• Kafka and event-driven architectures
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, JPA, and Hibernate.
• Developing Java EE applications.
• Working with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions.
• Designing client-side and server-side architecture.
• Building the front-end of applications with appealing visual design.
• Developing and managing well-functioning databases and applications.
• Writing effective APIs.
• Testing software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
• Troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading software.
• Creating security and data protection settings.

Integration and Testing:

• Writing extensive unit tests, Integration test and E2E test.
• Writing technical documentation.

Apache Camel Development:

• Apache Camel (Java DSL, YAML DSL, EIP, kamelets, advanced error handling) - Expert level, 5+ years of experience with Apache Camel
• Developing and integrating enterprise integration patterns using Apache Camel.
• Implementing and configuring Camel routes for message routing and transformation.
• Ensuring robust and scalable integration solutions.
• Debugging and optimizing Camel-based integration flows.
• Working with various Camel components and endpoints.
• Implementing error handling and fault tolerance mechanisms in Camel routes.
• Monitoring and managing Camel applications in production environments.

Contributing Responsibilities

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Must have:

• Must have At least 8+ years of technical experience in relevant skills required:

1. Programming Languages: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Java, Apache Camel
2. Frameworks and Libraries: Angular JS, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, Kafka and event-driven architectures
3. Development Practices: RESTful API design and integration.Unit testing & Integration testing
4. Database Management: Database design and management. SQL,Oracle,Postgress
5. Software Development Methodologies: Agile development. Version control systems (e.g., Git).
6. Design and Architecture: Client-side and server-side architecture design. Responsive design principles. Mobile-responsive design.
7. Security and Data Protection: Security settings and data protection.
8. Integration and Middleware: Apache Camel. Enterprise integration patterns. Message routing and transformation. Error handling and fault tolerance.

• Must have strong and effective communication with designers, back-end developers, and product managers and capability to maintain team collaboration and coordination.
• Candidate must have at least a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science etc.
