Senior Full Stack Engineer Automation & Infrastructure

About the Role

Build software that simplifies complex infrastructure operations. We are seeking an experienced engineer to develop internal applications, connect existing platforms, and automate workflows across network deployment, warehousing, and data centre supply chain operations.

This role offers hands-on development, ownership of projects, and collaboration with global teams across the US and EMEA. It suits someone who enjoys solving business problems through clean code, scalable architecture, and reliable applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver applications and automation solutions for internal business and infrastructure teams.
• Integrate tools and platforms to streamline workflows and consolidate information.
• Translate business requirements into practical technical designs, working with product, operations, design, and infrastructure stakeholders.
• Build scalable backend services, APIs, and database integrations, contributing to user interfaces where required.
• Improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability while addressing technical debt.
• Own features and components from solution design through development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Conduct thoughtful code reviews and maintain clear technical documentation.
• Deliver agreed milestones within sprint timelines and communicate progress to global stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of software development experience, with a strong track record of building and delivering applications.
• Strong backend development expertise in Python or a comparable stack, such as Java, Go, Kotlin, PHP, or Node.js. Python is preferred.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, clean code, system design, and scalable architecture.
• Experience with HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, databases, and application performance optimisation.
• Demonstrated ownership of substantial development projects or technical initiatives.
• Experience delivering reliable software through testing, code reviews, controlled releases, and monitoring.
• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Willingness to contribute to frontend development and learn relevant frameworks where needed.

Preferred Skills

• Frontend experience with React.js or Next.js.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, JavaScript ES6+, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with GraphQL, Redis, and relational databases.
• Exposure to robotics or warehouse automation, including Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), or Warehouse Control Systems.
• Experience with network deployment automation, infrastructure workflows, or data centre operations.
• Background in technology, banking, or consulting environments.
