Senior Full Stack Developer

Scope of Work/Responsibilities

General Sr. Full-stack Developer qualification and requirements:

1.    Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving

Assesses complex technical and business problems, evaluates solution options and trade‑offs (e.g., pros/cons of each viable option), and provides clear recommendations that balance business value, technical feasibility, risk, and delivery constraints.

2.    Behavioral Characteristics 

Support the development of effective working relationships with IT and business stakeholders and include qualities such as professionalism, ethics, trustworthiness, reliability, and personal organization. Exhibits high level of inquisitiveness and commitment to continuous learning. Able to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively in a delivery‑driven, cross-functional team environment to achieve agreed outcomes. As a senior resource, demonstrates ownership for individual and team outcomes, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities while continuously improving skills and delivery practices.

3.    Technical Knowledge 

Possesses deep expertise in full‑stack development and cloud‑native architectures with experience working in Agile delivery environments. Has used broad and modern set of tools and technologies while demonstrating ability to rapidly self‑learn and adapt to new platforms, frameworks, or practices as required. Able to translate functional requirements into fit-for-purpose technical solutions and appropriate technical documents/artifacts. Applies and shapes engineering standards, design patterns, and best practices to ensure delivered solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, and maintainable.

4.    Communication Skills 

Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical concepts and the value of technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrates proactive and timely communication with product owner, business analysts, technical teams, subject-matter experts, and other cross-functional teams to ensure shared understanding of objectives and requirements. Uses effective communication to align stakeholders, resolve ambiguity early, and prevent downstream delivery, quality, or integration risks.

5.    Leadership and Interaction Skills 

Confident in engaging with and working collaboratively across large, diverse stakeholder groups, including business, IT, vendors, and subject-matter-experts. Proactively identifies and de-escalates conflict, facilitates difficult conversations, and negotiates informed trade-offs to reach practical, mutually acceptable solutions. Beyond technical delivery, the senior full-stack developer closely interacts with the product delivery team (ADB and vendor) to provide technical assurance that the technical solutions are feasible, fit-for-purpose, and aligned with business and delivery constraints.

6.    Main responsibilities include:

Leadership, Mentorship & Governance

a.    leading and providing guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers

Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration

b.    collaborating with cross-functional teams (from ADB and vendor) to execute and deliver outputs and deliverables required by TSCMF

c.    communicating with business and IT stakeholders to analyze their requirements and to present outputs and deliverables to them

d.    support development tasks and ensure continuous alignment with defined goals

Solution Design, Delivery, & Quality Assurance

e.    developing front-end and back-end components using prescribed technologies and development tools

f.     ensuring the seamless integration of various systems or services

g.    support the implementation of coding standards and best practices that are aligned with ADB engineering standards

h.    optimizing applications or services for maximum speed and scalability

i.     implementing security and data protection measures

j.     conducting thorough testing and debugging to ensure high-quality and stable deliverables

k.    creating and reviewing technical documentation

l.     reviewing vendor technical outputs and deliverables

m.   staying updated with emerging technologies to recommend improvements

n.    planning and conducting system deployments or releases, including data migration (if applicable)

o.    providing hypercare support on delivered products or services

p.    delivering robust, user-friendly, and efficient solutions that align with ADB's standards and the TSCMF product team's goals.

7.    Key deliverables and outputs are:

a.    Design and develop scalable and robust cloud-native solutions. Ensure the architecture aligns with best practices for cloud-native applications, including microservices, containerization, and serverless computing.

b.    Set up and configure cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to automate deployment and scaling.

c.    Develop, test and deliver front-end and back-end components using modern frameworks and technologies. Implement APIs and integrate with third-party services as required. Ensure code quality through rigorous testing and code reviews.

d.    Maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes. Ensure seamless integration and delivery of new features and updates.

e.    Implement security best practices to protect data and applications. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

f.     Monitor and optimize the performance of the application and infrastructure. Implement caching, load balancing, and other techniques to enhance performance and reliability.

g.    Prepare comprehensive documentation for the developed solutions, including architecture diagrams, code comments, and user guides.

h.    Provide training and support to the development team and stakeholders.

i.     Assist, advise, and guide the development team (including vendor team, if applicable) on the above tasks.

Requirement and Qualification

Education and Work Experience

·        Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree would be advantageous.

·        At least 5 years of professional experience in full-stack development, with a strong emphasis on cloud-native design and architecture.

·        Proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions that meet project requirements and industry standards.

·        Relevant technical certifications and applied skills / knowledge are a plus.

 Technical Knowledge

·        Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript and frameworks like React or Angular.

·        Expertise in back-end development using languages such as Node.js, Python, or Java.

·        Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including services like Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless computing.

·        Strong understanding of database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL.

·        Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure as code.

·        Knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.

·        Experience with agile development methodologies.

·        Experience designing fault-tolerant, event-driven systems using Temporal (workflow orchestration)

·        Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude.

Work Arrangement

·        Hybrid, to report onsite as needed. If the TSCMF product team or PDM requires the Senior Full-stack Developer to report to HQ, compliance is mandatory.

·        Work Schedule is from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Manila Time.

·        May be required to work overtime to meet deliverables and deadlines.

·        May be required support critical release windows.
