What youll do:
- Take full responsibility for the end-to-end development of customer engagement and notification systems, ensuring seamless integration between backend services and frontend interfaces.
- Design, develop, and extend backend workflows using cloud-native and serverless environments such as Azure Functions to support robust system operations.
- Implement complex workflows including user management, notification orchestration, and integrations with enterprise systems like Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft Fabric.
- Develop reusable, responsive React and Next.js UI components with a strong emphasis on performance, accessibility, and usability standards.
- Integrate backend services with frontend applications through APIs and advanced personalisation tools such as Uniform.dev to deliver tailored user experiences.
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and security across all layers of the platform by applying best practices in software engineering.
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver engaging digital journeys that delight users.
- Optimise frontend performance by leveraging caching strategies, rendering optimisations, and Vercel features including Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR) and Edge Middleware.
- Monitor system observability by implementing analytics solutions and robust error handling mechanisms to maintain high service quality.
- Contribute actively to agile processes including sprint planning, backlog refinement sessions, and peer code reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
What you bring:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline is required for this position.
- Demonstrated experience in both backend and frontend development within cloud-native architectures is essential for success.
- Proficiency in backend technologies such as Azure Functions, RESTful API design principles, OAuth2 authentication protocols, serverless patterns, Azure Service Bus, SendGrid integration, Blob Storage management, and C# programming is highly valued.
- Expertise in frontend frameworks including React.js and Next.js as well as TypeScript programming language is necessary for building robust user interfaces.
- Hands-on experience with styling libraries such as Tailwind CSS or SCSS along with deployment platforms like Vercel is expected.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and composable system design will enable effective integration across multiple platforms.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (such as WCAG), SEO best practices for web applications, and advanced performance optimisation techniques is important for creating inclusive digital products.
- Experience working with headless content management systems (CMS) or personalisation platforms like Uniform.dev or Sitecore is advantageous.
