Our brand, Lennor Metier Consulting, a DOLE-licensed headhunting and recruitment agency in the Philippines, is proud to partner with a reputable telecommunications company in their search for a Senior Financial Reporting Specialist based in Taguig.

Salary Range: Up to 40,000

Work Setup: Onsite

Shift Schedule: Day Shift

Location: BGC, Taguig City

The role

The Senior Financial Reporting Specialist supports the Head of Financial Reporting in maintaining the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of financial records and processes. This role plays a key part in producing timely, comprehensive financial reports by consistently updating accounting books and ensuring that journals and ledgers reflect daily and periodic financial transactions with precision.

Your Responsibilities

  • Financial Transactions Recording
  • Records all revenues, purchases, expenses, and income in the general ledger following IFRS and company policies.
  • Prepares and updates schedules and analyses for balance sheet and income statement accounts, especially for revenue recognition, leases, and capital expenditures.
  • Manages fixed asset records, including acquisition, depreciation, and disposal.
  • Ensures journal entries comply with tax laws and reviews tax calculations before posting.
  • Helps prepare schedules for tax filings and ensures timely and accurate tax submissions (Income Tax, VAT, Withholding Tax, Local Business Tax).
  • Reviews schedules from the AP and AR teams.
  • Month-End Closing and Reporting
  • Prepares journal entry requests with supporting documents (prepayments, accruals, reclassifications).
  • Reviews the fixed asset ledger and performs related month-end tasks.
  • Assists in preparing monthly management reports.
  • Prepares bank reconciliation reports.
  • Ensures financial reports are submitted on time to management, the board, and regulators.
  • Submits monthly internal reports and assists with tax-related queries.
  • Provides explanations for variances and trends in account balances.
  • External Audit Support
  • Assists in preparing requirements for annual audits and corporate tax submissions.
  • Helps prepare annual financial statements based on local regulations.
  • Coordinates with external auditors by providing needed documents and explanations.
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting
  • Prepares special reports and financial analyses requested by management.
  • Other Duties
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in general accounting, with solid knowledge of IFRS/GAAP.
  • Proficient in financial reporting tools and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills, able to explain financial details clearly.
  • Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Audit experience and knowledge of financial reporting regulations is an advantage.
