Summary
The Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Planning Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Financial Planning Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in reviewing the financial health and stability of the restaurant business. You will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making, conducting internal audit and documenting standard operating procedures. This role supports and reports to the Head of Financial and Operations insights.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to track and report on the restaurant's key performance indicators (KPI), including sales, cost of goods sold, labor, and profitability. Identify areas of improvement and propose actionable solutions.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports such as budgets and forecast, including graphs and visual presentation of Business key metrics. Prepare ad-hoc reports as required by the Client such as bank reporting.
Cost Control: Analyze and manage costs, including food and beverage costs, labor expenses, and overhead. Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
Trend Analysis: Identify and analyze financial trends, providing insights to support strategic decision-making. Stay informed about industry trends and competitor performance.
Variance Analysis: Investigate and explain movement in financial statements from period to period as well as budget variances and recommend corrective actions to ensure financial goals are met.
Procurement and Inventory: Make sure that procurements are accurate, entered correctly in inventory module and reported properly every period end. The person will oversee the Operations Module of R365 making sure that stock counts and other inventory reports are reported accurately.
Internal Audit: Perform spot audit to all stores to ensure that Companys standard operating procedures are followed. Prepare and present findings to owner, management and other stakeholders to improve the processes of the Company. Audit procedures may include unannounced cash count, inventory count, etc.
Process Documentation: Prepares documentation of the standard policies and procedures of the Company. This includes determination and implementation of internal controls such as segregation of duties and check and balance culture related to Budgets and Forecasts.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, marketing, and management, to align financial goals with business objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
7-10 years of experience in financial analysis and accounting, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, including experience with financial software and tools.
Proficiency in MS Office (specially MS Excel), including creation of graphs and charts.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations (US GAAP).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and ethics in financial reporting.
Applicant must be willing to work night shift from 9PM to 6AM Monday to Friday (PH Time) and preferably work onsite in Carig Sur, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
Work from home set up can be considered depending on candidates work area condition.
