Job Description

The Senior Finance Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role will supervise accounting staff, handle month-end closing activities, and ensure efficient management of accounts payable, taxation, and audit requirements.

Job Requirements

  • A graduate of Accounting or any related course.
  • Must be a Licensed CPA, or at a minimum, a graduate of a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
  • With 5–8 years of relevant experience as an Accounting Officer or similar finance role.
  • Must have experience managing or handling direct reports/team members.
  • Strong experience in:
  • Month-end financial reporting
  • Accounts Payable
  • Taxation, including eFPS filing
  • Annual Financial Audit
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Must be willing to be assigned in Metro Manila.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily accounting and finance operations.
  • Prepare and review month-end financial reports and ensure timely submission.
  • Handle and monitor Accounts Payable (AP) transactions and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including preparation and filing through eFPS (Electronic Filing and Payment System).
  • Lead and support the company's annual financial audit, including coordination with external auditors.
  • Review financial records, reconciliations, and journal entries for accuracy and completeness.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff or direct reports, ensuring team productivity and development.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for management decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within finance and accounting functions.
