Job Description

Job Description: Senior Finance Manager 

The role involves taking a leadership position in managing the Company Sub-Group's Management Reporting and Financial Planning. Key responsibilities include leading the Sub Group's performance and annual budget processes, ensuring accurate reporting to corporate finance. The incumbent will articulate Sub-Group performance according to the business model and effectively communicate insights to both management and corporate stakeholders. Additionally, the role entails driving continuous improvement initiatives with a focus on enhancing key performance indicators for the overall Group. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  1. Group Management Reporting 
  • Owner of Sub Group Management reporting system, policy and process to ensure business performance reporting package are presented timely and useful for management and corporate review as well as decision making purpose. This include setting up and implement existing group template for various purposes of group reporting. 
  • Respond to corporate reporting team's questions from time to time. 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of the Company management reporting system, this includes the set up of new business reporting process, review policy and SOP periodically to ensure they are updated and applied. 

 

  1. Group Financial Planning Analysis  
  • Lead annual strategy and budget process as well as report short to medium range plan with strategic planning team. 
  • Identify and drive key performance monitoring system e.g .capex spending, cash flow, cost monitoring, working capital etc. 
  • Review, analyse and report the financial forecast and performance gap to management team accurately 
  • Ensure Financial Review Meeting and budget meeting is organized with effective review. 
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements. 
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and ERP systems. 

 

  1. Leadership 
  • Proactive in managing team engagement, performance review and development plan of the staff, this include arranging relevant small group discussion and training to the team. 
  • Engage and work closely with all business segments / business units and controllers as well as Finance & Accounting team to align the financial performance parameter and expectation of the Group 
  • Develop finance talent as key target 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. 

Job Requirements: 

  • At least 15 years of strong working experience, experience in manufacturing is an advantage 
  • Managerial experience of not less than 10 years. Proven strong managerial and leadership qualities 
  • Someone with strong control mindset and not afraid to say No. 
  • Professional accounting qualification including ACCA, CIMA, and/or CPA will be highly preferred 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Out-spoken and able to develop and motivate a team 
  • Highly responsive and able to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Business Partnering skills and a good team player 
  • Commercially-oriented with high energy, a can-do attitude and hands-on 
  • Operationally in tune with the business with a keen eye for analysis and details
