Senior Finance Manager

Job Description

The General Ledger Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, team performance, and general ledger operations within the assigned region.

Other responsibilities include:

• Leads financial reporting, month-end closing, and general ledger activities in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
• Reviews and approves reconciliations, financial reports, and critical accounting outputs to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Ensures implementation of controls, risk management, and compliance with internal and external audit requirements
• Oversees compliance with IFRS and internal accounting standards across reporting activities
• Manages stakeholder coordination and escalations related to financial reporting, closing, and accounting operations
• Drives process improvements, standardization initiatives, and supports system implementations and migrations
• Leads team performance, resource planning, and capability development to support operational and reporting requirements

Qualifications:

Must-have…

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Banking, or other business-related courses
• Strong understanding of end-to-end accounting processes and their interdependencies
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Working knowledge of IFRS, including its application in financial reporting
• Experience in Accounting Operations, including Closing and Reporting, Consolidation, and General Ledger activities
• At least 5 years of work experience in a Management / Team Lead role
• Intermediate experience in current role (2-5 years)
• Big 4 Accounting Firms experience: KMPG / Manabat, EY / SGV, PwC / Isla Lipana, Deloitte / Navarro Amper (highly desirable)
• Willing to relocate to Cebu (if based in Manila)

Nice-to-have…

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
• Knowledge of automotive or financial services processes is an advantage (e.g., Mercedes-Benz Mobility)
• At least 3 years in a General Ledger accounting role
• Experience in a shared service industry
• Experience in influencing stakeholders through strong business presentation skills and generally represents the team or department as key point-of-contact
