We are seeking a highly articulate, polished, and strategic CFO to join our elite financial advisory team. This is a senior, high-impact role designed for a seasoned financial professional who does not merely work behind the scenes, but who commands a room with presence, authority, and clear, structured thinking.
As the primary financial strategic partner for our high-value clients, you will translate complex transactional accounting data into forward-looking, actionable business strategies. You will be responsible for leading high-level advisory meetings, explaining financial performance, identifying tax planning opportunities, and presenting strategic forecasts directly to business owners, CEOs, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. High-Touch Client Advisory & Zoom Leadership
- Act as the strategic face of our firm on video calls. Lead regular monthly and quarterly financial reviews with clients on camera, driving the agenda, managing expectations, and maintaining a highly professional presentation.
- Translate complex corporate financial statements (Balance Sheets, P&Ls, Cash Flow Statements) into clean, visual, and highly digestible narratives that clients can easily understand and act upon.
- Advise business owners on cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, pricing strategies, key performance indicators (KPIs), and capital allocation.
2. Advanced Financial Oversight & Controllership
- Oversee and advise clients on sophisticated US tax planning strategies, corporate tax structures, and compliance frameworks.
- Supervise supporting bookkeeping staff to ensure all ledgers are systematically reconciled, GAAP-compliant, and fully organized before client delivery.
- Prepare client financial records to withstand rigorous external audits, due diligence processes, or potential business valuations.
3. Workflow Management & Quality Control
- Maintain a highly structured workflow for month-end closes, ensuring all deliverables are prepared, double-checked, and scheduled for presentation on time.
- Develop, standardize, and scale internal reporting templates to elevate the professionalism and visual quality of our client deliverables.
Position Requirements
- Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license, or equivalent top-tier financial certification with a deep understanding of US accounting laws, GAAP standards, and federal tax codes.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial advisory experience, with a minimum of 2 years acting in a Senior Controller, Fractional CFO, or client-facing advisory capacity.
- Exceptional, fluent written and verbal English communication. The ability to articulate strategic financial advice clearly, confidently, and persuasively is the absolute cornerstone of this role.
- A polished, engaging, and professional digital presence. You must possess the natural confidence to build immediate rapport, handle challenging client questions in real-time on Zoom, and lead meetings with executive authority.
- The ability to understand a business owner's underlying fears and ambitions, addressing their financial concerns with a supportive and grounded approach.
- Expert-level command of cloud accounting ecosystems, specifically QuickBooks Online (QBO), Xero, and integrated financial reporting/forecasting tools (such as Fathom, Jirav, or Helm).
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets for complex financial modeling.
