Job Description

Job Title: Senior Finance Analyst / Accountant

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM Philippine Time (US Business Hours)

Sourcing Location: PH

Location: Remote

Compensation: USD $2000 - $2500 per month

Preferred Qualification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Finance Analyst / Accountant to oversee the full accounting cycle while providing financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic insights to support business growth. This role is ideal for a finance professional who is equally comfortable managing day-to-day accounting operations and contributing to high-level financial planning and decision-making.

The successful candidate will have strong experience working with US-based companies and modern fintech platforms, including QuickBooks, Ramp, Stripe, and Mercury.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Manage full-cycle accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and journal entries.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly transaction processing and reconciliation.
  • Conduct month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, payment processors, and fintech platforms.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Analyze financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasting tools.
  • Assist leadership with budgeting, variance analysis, and financial planning.

Cash Flow & Strategic Finance

  • Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning.
  • Track revenue, expenses, and profitability across business units.
  • Support strategic decision-making through financial insights and scenario modeling.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and financial controls.

Systems & Technology

  • Utilize QuickBooks for accounting and financial reporting.
  • Manage and reconcile transactions through Ramp, Stripe, and Mercury.
  • Maintain financial data integrity across multiple systems.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of accounting and finance experience.
  • Proven experience managing full-cycle accounting independently.
  • Strong financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks.
  • Experience working with Ramp, Stripe, and Mercury.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting US-based companies, startups, or technology businesses.
  • Familiarity with SaaS, eCommerce, or high-growth business environments.
  • Experience implementing accounting process improvements and financial controls.
  • Exposure to FP&A, strategic finance, and executive-level reporting.
