About the role
Our Client is seeking an experienced, highly analytical, and detail-oriented Estimator / Project Coordinator with 4 to 6 years of local Australian construction Industry experience to join their growing team in Sydney.
As a dynamic building company with a strong reputation for high-quality residential builds and complex renovations, commercial fit-outs and modifications, insurance repairs, and remedial works, the Company prides itself on building things right and pricing them perfectly.
In this pivotal role, you will work directly with the Australian team and act as the true right hand person to the business owner. You will play a fundamental role across the entire project lifecycle, with a primary focus on ensuring zero variance financial accuracy during the estimating phase to eliminate on-site surprises, followed by tight, organised execution during project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Tendering
deadlines.
unique requirements to eliminate grey areas and prevent post-contract variations.
suppliers and subcontractors to maintain strict cost accuracy in line with market
trends.
subcontractors to ensure no hidden exclusions exist before awarding contracts.

Australia (BCA), and relevant Australian Standards (e.g., AS3740 for waterproofing,
AS3600 for concrete, and AS1684 for timber framing).
Compensation Fund (HBCF) insurance, Council/DA/CDC conditions, and Long
Service Levies.

Australian team.
(e.g., asbestos removal), structural propping, and make-good costs.

Required Skills & Qualifications
within the Australian building sector, with a demonstrated track record across
residential new builds, extensions/renovations, commercial modifications, and
structural remedial works.
Quantity Surveying, or a relevant structural trade background with equivalent hands-
on industry experience.
scheduling, and workflows, alongside proven experience using dedicated digital
takeo software for precise material quantifications.
equivalent data software tool) to benchmark material and labour rates against
current market fluctuations.
to negotiate firmly and professionally with subcontractors regarding scope
exclusions, and articulate variation costs clearly to clients.

engineering details before final submission to achieve a zero-variance target.

Standards (waterproofing, structural concrete, timber framing), and Workplace
Health & Safety (WHS) requirements for commercial sites.
