About the Role
The EHS Senior Associate will be responsible for DENR EMB permitting, new application and renewal. It involves collaboration with pollution control officers and departments concerned about documentation requirements for DENR EMB permits and licenses.
Responsibilities
- Supports in the monitoring of the company operations to ensure compliance with DENR permit conditions.
- Coordinates with all Pollution Control Officers within his/her area to ensure that the documentation requirements of the Authority are met.
- Organize the permitting requirements.
- Maintains records and proper filing system.
- Act as coordinator in the preparation of DENR new permit applications and renewals.
- Assists in the review and finalization of vendors DENR permit requirements.
- He/she shall keep himself abreast of the requirements and processes of the Authority in obtaining permits and clearances.
- Assists in the preparation of reports, documentation, and recording of activities relating to the maintenance of permits and clearances.
- Handles other matters of environmental concerns as required by his supervisors/superiors.
- Any other functions as deemed necessary.
Qualifications
- Graduate of BS Environmental Science/Chemical Engineering/Environmental Engineering/Petroleum Engineering or BS Chemistry.
- Trained Pollution Control Officer in any industry is an advantage.
- At least 1 year of working experience in the same capacity, gained from telecommunication industry.
- Willing to travel to project sites on a regular basis.
- Trained Pollution Control Officer in any industry is an advantage.
Required Skills
- Good communication skills with the ability to relate to people at all levels.
- He/she could maintain a good relationship not only within the company but also within the community and government agencies where his/her assistance is needed in conducting environmental inspections, environmental accident investigations and other environmental concerns or related matters.
