Job Description

Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior Utilities Engineer to oversee the design, maintenance, and optimization of plant utility systems to ensure reliable facility operations.

This role will be responsible for managing utility infrastructure including power, water, HVAC, compressed air, and related systems while leading maintenance planning, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in industrial utilities, preventive maintenance, and team leadership within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Utilities Operations & Maintenance

  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for utility systems
  • Monitor performance of facility systems to ensure operational reliability
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for critical equipment failures
  • Coordinate repairs to minimize downtime and production disruption
  • Maintain documentation of maintenance records and system performance

System Optimization

  • Identify opportunities to improve utility efficiency and reduce operating costs
  • Support projects involving equipment upgrades and facility improvements
  • Monitor energy consumption and recommend cost-saving initiatives
  • Ensure proper spare parts planning and inventory management

Leadership & Coordination

  • Supervise maintenance technicians and contractors
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the maintenance team
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and QA teams
  • Support training and development of technical staff

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
  • Conduct inspections and risk assessments
  • Maintain utility systems in accordance with company standards
  • Support audits and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in:
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in utilities or facilities engineering
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or senior-level role
  • Strong experience in:
  • utility systems management
  • preventive maintenance
  • troubleshooting
  • process improvement
  • safety compliance
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred
  • PRC License is an advantage
  • Lean Six Sigma or related certifications are a plus
