Role description:
Provide end‑to‑end technical civil design services for urban development projects, delivering compliant, high‑quality, and efficient solutions through effective collaboration, resource planning, technical leadership, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
Role accountabilities:
- Deliver technical civil design services including roads, utilities, stormwater, earthworks, flood analysis, subsurface utility engineering (SUE), quantity take‑offs, and technical reporting, in line with project programme, quality, budget, and safety requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with team members across Arcadis GECs and global offices to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Plan and allocate work to optimize resource utilization and ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor, guide, and provide technical advice to junior team members, supporting their professional development.
- Operate as a competent professional with limited supervision, making decisions within the scope of the role.
- Perform detailed engineering tasks, calculations, and prepare technical designs, models, and reports.
- Conduct investigations and analyses to support technical solutions, including clash detection and resolution.
- Undertake quality reviews in compliance with the Company Management System, project requirements, BIM standards, BIM Execution Plans, and ISO 19650.
- Develop and implement digital and automated solutions for urban development projects to improve efficiency and standardize service delivery.
- Actively participate in knowledge sharing, professional development planning, and continuous learning to strengthen expertise.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Licensed Civil Engineer; postgraduate studies are considered an advantage.
- Minimum of 8 years experience delivering multi‑discipline design and modelling projects using industry‑standard BIM platforms, including Civil 3D, ACC, Bluebeam, Dynamo (Civil 3D), Inventor, and Navisworks.
- Working knowledge of XPSWMM, Tuflow, Drains, ProjectWise, 12D Synergy, InfraWorks, EPANET, and Python is advantageous.
- Extensive experience delivering urban development projects including roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks, and other related civil works with strong expertise in North American / Canada urban design standards.
- Strong proficiency in pressurized pipe system design and demonstrated experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling of stormwater, sewer, and flood systems are highly desirable.
- Availability to work for some periods abroad if the case.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and regions.
