Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to contribute technical expertise and creativity to electrical engineering projects. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems across diverse projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and mentoring junior engineers to ensure project quality and compliance. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, project experience, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for low and medium voltage distribution, lighting and lighting controls, fire alarms, controls, standby and emergency generators, and grounding/bonding systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies, perform load calculations, and generate technical reports.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and multi-discipline teams on complex projects.
• Participate in meetings to ensure project compliance, quality, and coordination.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues efficiently.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and manufacturers.
• Apply knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations in design and execution.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
• Embrace continuous learning opportunities to enhance expertise and contribute innovative ideas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Engineering Design, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and electrical design principles.
• Stable employment history.
• Demonstrated ability to lead small to medium-sized project teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently or as part of a team.
